When can you take AP Spanish Language?
I want to know if you have to take Spanish I and Spanish II before taking AP Spanish or if you could just do it straight up? Does it count as a credit for language in normal high school curriculum?
At my school we have to take:
Spanish 1-2 for Spanish Speakers (most don’t take this class due to the fact that it’s too easy for someone who speaks Spanish already)
Spanish 3-4 for Spanish Speakers
AP Spanish Language
or if your not a native Spanish speaker
Spanish 1-2
Spanish 3-4
Spanish 5-6
AP Spanish Language
I’m not sure about just taking the class w/out taking the pre-requisites but I don’t see why not if you are confident that you know accents and grammar well b/c majority of the class before taking the AP class focuses on mastering accents (which isn’t easy) and grammar. Once you hit the AP class, your expected to know them and little review focuses on that.
If your not sure what to do, you can talk to your counselor at school since i don’t know how your school works.
